When the storage capacity on your Synology RS18016xs+ reaches its limit, Synology RX1216sas offers a fast and easy solution to scale up. You can add 12 SATA or SAS drives to achieve greater flexibility and a more balanced performance. For expansion purposes, you can increase the storage volume on your RS18016xs+ without having to reformat the existing drives and going through service interruption. As an independent volume, RX1216sas makes it easy to back up your RS18016xs+.
